February Beauty Finds

I've not blogged about beauty for ages, there have been far too many topics and talks buzzing around my head and I've sadly neglected to mention the little gems I've discovered and indeed rediscovered this month. So here you are and I apologize to your purses in advance of this post

Lush Lip Scrub

First up is Lush "The Kiss" lip scrub. Now this, being a Valentines product, has now sold out but they still have plenty of alternative formulas to keep your lips looking in tip top condition including bubblegum, mint julep and sweet lips - a vanilla formula. I like to keep my pot by my bed and scrub away a couple of nights a week before topping with an intensive overnight lip balm (Shop my current favourite) as I really struggle to stay on top of my lip dryness and this routine has worked wonders. I'm off to the Lush Bloggers Spring event on Monday so keep your eyes peeled for more of my recommendations for Lush products

ABH Brow Wiz

Next up is "Brow Wiz" crayon by Anastasia Beverly Hills (ABH) I've been using the ABH brow pomade for a while now and absolutely adore the stuff for a flawless structured brow when you have the time and occasion to warrant it. This pencil however is perfect for creating a more natural day-to-day brow. The crayon part is so easy to use, the kind of thing you can use to do your brows in your compact mirror on a packed train (unlike the pomade) and the little brush ensures every hair is standing to attention where it is should be. This is definitely a handbag essential (Full Handbag Essentials post coming soon) I opted for shade "Soft Brown"

Laura Mercier Loose Powder

Finally we have the Laura Mercier translucent loose setting powder. I can't live without setting powder and actually neither should you. A setting powder will ensure that your make-up lasts all day, especially if you have oily skin and find your foundation has slid off into your lap by 11am. Some powders can feel horrifically cakey however so you need to choose carefully, apply sparingly and for gods sake don't skimp on a brush (the puff provided is vile). Containing the most luxurious "French Cashmere talc and light reflecting mineral" this stuff if seriously worth the money. It gives you the sort of soft focus appearance that only photoshop can rival, even if you do have to apply it over a sheet of A4 paper to avoid costly wastage.

Prior to purchasing this I used a Rimmel formula which was almost as good. A great cheap alternative if you the LM price tag gives you heart palpitations

..........

Have you tried any of these? What are your beauty finds for February? Please tell me, I don't already spend enough of frivolous things. I jest
