Eyelure Brow Control & Shape Gel

My eyebrows have taken a fair amount of abuse over years. The razor at age 15, the over-plucking from ages 16 to 20 which on many occasions I feared may have spiraled into full-blown Trichotillomania. At 21 I discovered the eye-brow pencil, unfortunately I did not at the same time discover any forthcoming talent for symmetry.

And how are we doing at age 23? Well you know that quote?
"Don't let anyone with bad eyebrows tell you shit about life"

Lets just say I won't be telling anyone any shit about life anytime soon.

Helping those of us who are a little challenged in the brow region is the new range from Eyelure and in particular this handy little gel pencil. This brow control and shape gel aims to tame those strays and coat the hairs creating a striking thickened appearance when powder is added, This stuff is basically idiot proof, even I can manage it and you'll be amazed how much of a difference it makes to your brows from using just straight powder.

LUSH Santa Baby Lip Tint

Gone are the days when women could just stand around looking pretty, reapplying their lipstick every 5 minutes and trying not to breathe out too much. These days we have careers, pets, babies, boyfriends and boyfriends who are more like pets and babies. We just do not have the time to paint our lips every other free second of the day - when do we eat!? These Lip Tints from LUSH Cosmetics provide the answer for busy bees like myself; Long-wearing lip colour for day to day use as well as doubling up as a base colour for lipsticks and glosses on special occasions.

They come in a range of colours, including red - notoriously high maintenance!
Santa Baby is a seasonal product so snap it up while you can (stocking filler alert) Here I am modelling it:

Here are some of my other LUSH favourites this month:

Winter MAC Skin

With Summer at a definite end I can happily wave bye bye to my BB Cream. Don't get me wrong BB Cream was my savior during the hot summer months where foundation would simply  have slid off into a slightly orange puddle at my feet but it just does not give the coverage or the shine control I need.

This time of year is when I turn to more advanced options to tackle my oily skin and guess what? I found the answer! And guess what else? The answer ain't cheap.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid and MAC Prep+Prime Skin primer is the perfect combination. Minimal maintenance and excellent coverage with an oil free-solution and a built in SPF. I've honestly had so many compliments on my skin since I've been using these products and that is praise indeed from someone who constantly gets asked if they've just been running. I'm not sweaty! I'm just plain Greasy!

Fiber Lashes

"Fiber Lashes are like a Push-up Bra for your lashes"

Those us slightly challenged in the lash department can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to fiber lashes, the gel solution and tiny black fibers combine to thicken and lengthen lashes meaning that as long as I can find a bra with 99.99% padding to compliment my new peepers I'll be a strong 4 out of 10 this winter.

One word of warning though. Do not go overboard with the application. I know its Halloween but you do not want to look like you have two massive hairy spiders on your face. Trust me.

New Season River Island

I was recently treated to a beautiful River Island bag and matching purse. What? It's winter. I needed a new bag... and a matching purse... honest. I don't want my stuff getting cold...

I also stumbled across this cute fluffy keyring which is perfect for those of us not quite willing to take out a second mortgage on one of those Amelia London beauties at a pretty reasonable £6. Ok so peoples dogs attack me in the street thinking it's some sort of prey but I still love it.

Dress: H&M, Boots: Public Desire, Coat: Missguided

Tried any of these? Or discovered some must-haves of your own? What has made your favourites list this month?

  1. MAC's skin base visage is such a lifesaver for an oily skinned girl like myself. Does it contain SPF? I had no idea coz that was always my one complaint for it but if it does then I love it even more! :)
