These are my must-haves for June. My wishlist. Or to
be more accurate: The things I will be steadily and stealthily purchasing over
the course of June whilst pretending I’ve had them for ages in order to avoid the stern financial
advice of my mother.
First on my wishlist is the new Topshop Glow stick in “Play
up.” I am well aware that we’re all still wedged firmly in the contouring craze
and this little beauty is set to make the highlighting aspect that little bit
easier:
“This light reflecting
cream highlighter is designed to sculpt, define and enhance the skin. The twist up stick
allows you to easily apply and blend the product onto the skin for an
effortless glow.”

The Tangle Teezer is next on my wishlist. I recently spent several hours and several hundred pounds having 18 inch Racoon
International hair extensions fitted. Having forked out this small fortune I
thought I’d better actually look after them and have ordered a Tangle Teaser
(Gold of course). The Tangle Teezer is compact so will fit in my bag easily and
is the best way to tame thick and tangle prone hair without damaging it or
pulling it out. If you are lucky enough
to have thick hair naturally then this is going to be your saviour as it
doesn’t pull and snag the hair like conventional brushes.

It’s hard to believe that the original Marc Jacobs Daisy scent
launched way back in 2007. I remember my dad buying it for my mum that
Christmas to make up for the previous year’s diabolical offering; an electric
blanket. I’m pretty sure Marc Jacobs Daisy saved their marriage. Next month
Marc Jacobs will be launching “Daisy Dream” a fruity floral scent with notes of
blackberry, grapefruit, pear, jasmine, lychee, blue wisteria, white wood, musk
and coconut water. Despite the fact that it’s not actually out in June, I am
putting it on the June wishlist as I’ll need to start dropping hints now if I
have any hope of my boyfriend cottoning on to the fact that I’d like a bottle next month.
Available in July, Date to be confirmed
The new Nails Inc. floral range was designed by Tinkerbell
after a long day of smoking crack. That’s the conclusion I’ve drawn from the
range of glittertastic, flower-power, sparkly
polishes. Available in five shades, the
new Nails Inc.
polishes can be applied over base coat and built up with two or three layers
for a full on migraine inducing effect.
It may seem like I’m being negative about them but I’m really not, I'm just being facetious. After all every girl
still has her 9 year old self inside, yearning to play with glitter pens and
this range is a great way to get away with indulging it as a functioning adult.
“Yes I have glittery nails but I'm holding a green tea frappuccino and
copy of Vogue.”
And finally, the new Abbey Clancy
for Matalan collaboration is kind of making me jealous of everyone who is not
carrying a small person around in their tummy this summer. I don’t think I
could get one leg into this dress in my present state.
For those of you who ARE rocking a hot summer bod, I would urge you to check out the collection. Rarely have I seen such a classically chic range from a highstreet collaboration. I always tend to forget about Matalan and then when I do make my seasonal pilgrimage I’m generally so shocked by the wallet-friendly prices that I require the use a small forklift to get my purchases home.
