Coconut Oil - The new Beauty Miracle

I’ve replaced my expensive night cream with oil I bought off eBay for £2.99.

This sounds like crazy talk but the oil in question is actually 100% Organic hard-pressed Coconut oil in a raw, pure and unprocessed state and it has changed my life. My skin has never looked so glowing and clear – plus you can use it for all sorts of things; as an all over body moisturiser, as a deep conditioning hair treatment even as a toothpaste.
In fact click here to find “101 uses” for the stuff!

It comes as a solid block in a pouch and melts really easily once you break a bit off. Those of you who read my Product test post last week will also know that I’ve been trying out The Clarins radiance plus golden glow booster, I’ve simply been adding 3 drops a night to the coconut oil meaning not only am I building a golden glow but also hydrating my skin at the same time.

I actually suffer from greasy skin so you would think putting more oil onto it would leave me looking like a pizza-faced teenage acne sufferer in no time? But no. This is because the oil is PURE so it doesn’t clog up your pores causing blackheads and spots like some moisturisers. I’ve also been slathering it all over my chapped lips and its worked miracles; in fact I’m off to Superdrug this weekend to buy some of those travel lip balm pots so I never have to be without it!

There are millions and millions of anti-aging night creams, day cream, serums and what do they ALL have in common? Hydration. Hydration is the key to anti-aging. All the perfumes, all the chemicals (the pepto-this and the mono-that) and god knows what else they put in there (Gold and Diamonds judging by the price of the stuff) is just to pretty it up.

Where Hydration is concerned the fatty acids in Organic Coconut Oil reinforce the skin's natural lipid barrier, a process which helps to lock moisture into the skin, promoting this essential hydration naturally. This stuff has ZERO chemicals yet it can remove even the most stubborn of makeup and crucially moisturises that delicate thin skinned eye area that so often is the first place to show wrinkles and age spots. When applied as a night cream the natural antioxidants contained in the oil are a powerful anti-aging serum, hydrating skin and smoothing fine lines.

I’m not one for promoting expensive and unnecessary products that’s not what this blog is about and our money is precious, we don’t want to go throwing it away on some chemical filled 15ml pot of glorified E45. I am definitely not saying that Organic Coconut oil is the product for everyone but it’s so cheap and the results can be so good that it is worth a try. Just make sure when you are buying it that it’s;

A. Organic
B. Pure and in a Raw State
C. From a trusted source

But... who doesn’t want a £3 skincare solution that you can slather on your face, hair and body and even chuck into your morning yoghurt as well for its digestive and health qualities?
